Michael's research currently focuses on how the human brain is able to reprogram itself to rapidly learn new tasks from instruction.
He is looking at brain function and connectivity using advanced statistical methods in the hope of uncovering solutions to some of the brain's most elusive secrets. Several such topics under investigation include cognitive control, working memory, prospective memory, long-term learning/memory, and strategies to improve cognitive performance in both impaired and normal populations.
